ALDRICH, ROBERTA. (ROBIN)
Last we heard, Robin lived in Rathdrum, Idaho, with husband, Jerry Bass; their address was 20813 N. Circle Road 83858. Robin retired from nursing; her husband was in property management. They have a son and a daughter and Robin says she has “everything” to brag about them. She says they usually golf on weekends and is looking forward to a healthy retirement for herself and Jerry.

David had attended Arlington Grade School and died of cancer August 18, 1994.
ANDERSON, DARLENE K.
We still haven’t heard from Darlene but she supposedly is still married to Armour Armstrong and is living in Chattaroy (P.O. Box 404), Washington 99003.
ANDERSON, DARLENE MAE
Darlene Fischer died of cancer in November of 2002 in Butte, Montana. She had attended Whitman Grade School, lived in Alabama for a while and was survived by five children.
ANDERSON, DARLENE RAE
Darlene was Mrs. Mitchell Cowdery and her husband, Robert, was a retired financial planner five years ago. They lived at 1804 E. Garden in Spokane, 99208. She was an Administrative Secretary and studied on the weekends towards a Bachelor’s degree. She and Robert each have three children and a total of at least 15 grandchildren between them! Darlene has lived in Spokane, California, Wash. D.C., and in Okinawa.
ANDERSON, GARY L.
A retired high school English teacher, Gary and his wife, Rita, apparently still live in Spokane at 48 West 33rd, 99203. They have two kids and were expecting their first grandchild five years ago; he was working toward complete recovery from double bypass surgery then too.

ANDERSON, SHARON L.
Sharon Lynn died of cancer on Feb. 23, 1999. She had attended Hamilton Grade School before Rogers and was living in Deer Park, Wash. She had been married to Merv Erdman for 36 years, and was known as the “Deer Park Ice Cream Lady”.
APITZ, LLOYD
Lloyd retired from the supermarket business in 1999
and lives at 1720 E. Olympic, 99207, but thinks he’ll move to
the coast in a year or so. His grown son is an engineer at Boeing and his daughter is an attorney there; he has five grandchildren. He’s single, is still into amateur radio, coin collecting, a volunteer for pet rescue, humane shelters, nursing homes and Community Organizational Police Service. “Who said retirement was boring?”, he asks. Listed as living in Chattaroy, Armour is still reportedly married to Darlene K. Anderson (Rogers’ 60) but he didn’t respond to our questionnaire.

Marjorie is retired and now married to Kevin Smith (from Arizona), who’s now retired from the Navy but still working on a contract basis. A registered nurse, Jackie is now working just 2-3 days a month doing assessments for Life Care Center in Kennewick. “Art” is still working at KONA Radio in Kennewick selling advertising, running 36 computers on 3 networks, and playing with digital photography. BODVIN, RONALD N.
Ron died January 21, 1991 at the age of 48. He’d come to Rogers from Logan Grade School and later lived in Valley, Wash.
BOOMER, LYNDA
Lynda died at 36 of cancer in 1979 in Los Angeles, California. She had worked as a legal secretary for Senator Magnuson while she and her husband, Jim Collier, were stationed in Wash. D.C. They lived in Los Angeles, California and she had come to Rogers from Whitman Grade School.
BORDWELL, PHYLLIS E.
Phyllis is married to Russ Roberts (Rogers ’69) and lives

They retired in ’57 but then taught in Warsaw, Poland, then in Shanghai, China. This fall they’re on their way to Bangkok, Thailand to substitute teach for 2 months. Phyllis composes music, gardens, likes to golf some, and is active in their church. They have three adult children (all teachers) and seven grandchildren, that “light up our life”.

BRAKE, MAVIS C.
Mavis died of cancer in November,1980. She had attended Regal Grade School before high school and later married Frank Cobb; they lived in Spokane and had adopted two children.
BRETTHAUER, BILLIE S.

Fred was teaching in the Seattle area (in Bellingham?) for years but hear he’s back in Spokane now.
BROWN, HAROLD
Harold died as a result of an accident in December, 2005. He’d been living in Spokane and is survived by his wife of 41 years, Shirley, and his beloved four children and grandchildren.
He was an elder in the Church of Ladder-day Saints and was retired from Centennial Flour Mills.

After 24 years at SHMC, Ellen Shearer moved to be closer to her daughter and family and now lives in Athens, Alabama (P.O. Bob and his wife, Frances used to live at 9201 76th St., SW, Lakewood, WA 98498; he might still be there but we don’t know. Five years ago he reported that they had four children and five grandchildren, all “great kids”. Bob spent 21+ years as an Army officer and spent time in Australia and Germany in addition to other cities.

Dick attended Whitman Grade School and died in February of 2004 of cancer. He’d been living with his wife, Sylvia, in Wildomar, California. They had three children and he was very active in his church.

A former teacher, Gloria called herself a “housewife” to Pat Taylor, a fellow classmate and (sort-of retired) field service manager. Loralei died from cancer in December, 1991. She had attended North Central before transferring to Rogers. She married Dave Willman and had two sons, then her last name was reported to be Fager and she lived in Spokane.

Sharon still square dances and paints on porcelain. Her husband, Harold, has Dementia so that keeps them “close to home”. CROW, BETTY
Betty Webb died in February of 2003. She was born in Colfax, attended Bemiss Grade School, then Rogers, Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, plus two years at ITT Tech College in Spokane. She was a 47-year member of the Crestline Church of the Nazarene. Her survivors include one daughter, her mother and two sisters.

We haven’t heard back from Sid in some time but heard he was divorced, living in Vancouver, and working (again) for the college there.
CULHANE, GENE D.
Gene has never responded to us but we’ve been mailing to him at 139 w. Gray Court, in Spokane (99205).

Gerry died December 6, 1996; he had attended Gonzaga Prep before going to Rogers and after graduation moved to Huntingon Beach, and San Anita, California, but was reportedly back in Spokane before he died.

Linda Taskey was living in the Seattle area and was “semi retired” five years ago. She has 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

DAWSON, ROBERT J.
Bob died in Dec. of 2002 of cancer. He attended Bemiss Grade School, Rogers, and WSU. Bob learned the plumbing and heating trade from his father and became co-owner and president of Dawson Bros. Mechanical Contractors, involved in many large construction projects in the Spokane area. Survivors included his wife, Judy, five children, a special granddaughter, and a brother.

Sounds like we’ve never heard from Betty, aka Mrs. William Erickson, but she is reportedly living in Spokane.
DELEON, DELANO D.
“Del” and his wife, Jacklyn lived at 1728 E. Rowan, in Spokane, 99207 five years ago and they reported having four children and six grandchildren.

DIETRICH, CAROL L.
Carol lives with her husband, Stuart Bearup, at 3686 Sherman, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. They are both retired and are going to do more traveling. They have two children and four grandchildren, and spends many Saturdays with them. Carol does scrapbooking and adds that her parents each have 12 siblings, so she therefore she has 67 first cousins!

Michele didn’t write back this time but was married to Jerry Childers and lived in Spartanburg, SC 29301 last we heard.
DINSMORE, GARY A.

Their current plan is to “slowly flow across Canada” until they reach Nova Scotia; Gary’s travel blog is posted on our website! They have two adult children and three grandkids.

Sharon LaPlant died in June of 2005 in Newport, Washington. She left five children, seven grandchildren and a brother. Sharon had attended Logan Grade School before Rogers.
