The Premier Section of the Treasure Chest, the "Seniors" Graduation Photos

There were over 400 of us graduates in June, 1960. There are 408 photos of our well-dressed Rogers alums, most of the guys wearing ties and suit coats. Each page has 12 members. Most are in alphabetical order, from Roberta Aldrich to David Grimmer. Those near the end must have been late getting the portrait pictures to the Treasure Chest, so they don't appear in alphabetical order. All appear on pages 24 to 57.
  • Page 24: Roberta Aldrich had a HUGE block next to her photo of all her extra curricular things. She was on the honor roll all four years and had several leadership positions.
  • Page 25: There are four very attractive young ladies that look like Hollywooders: Christine Balch, Yvonne Battin,Deanna Barbour, Carol Ann Beck, who also had a huge block of extra curriculars, as does Janice Kay Baldwin.
  • Page 26: Cutie Patricia (Patty) Blangeres was a cheerleader, first item listed on her big block list. Daryl Benzel looks very mature, and Hollywoodie-like.
  • Page 27: My best Logan friend, Ron Bodvin, looks good, but didn't participate in anything special. There are six girls on the page that ALL of them were really active in MANY extra things: Lynda Boomer, Phyllis Bordwell, Berneise Bowers, Mavis Brake, Billie Bretthauer and Joanne Brown.
  • Page 28: Two of my best friends on this page: Robert Cartwright, who has a great hair style and face, and Richard Churchill, who has a full block of things listed.
  • Page 29: Wanda Conboy, a popular class gal, had a huge list of things, and was listed first to be on the TC staff. One of my other best friends is Norm Cooper, who came to Rogers from Wichita, Kansas, when he was a sophomore. He got active in many things, and had history as his favorite classes.
  • Page 30: Sid Crowe was a very good athlete, football and track, choir, Boys Quartet. A handsome fellow, all would agree.
  • Page 31: Carol Dietrich and Donna Devita were fully-active students. Sharon DIshman was on the tennis team her sophomore year.
  • Page 32: James Drake was another athletic fellow: baseball, football, basketball. He had been Boys Federation President his senior year, and had also been on the choir and Boys Quartet. He was one of the most popular guys.
  • Page 33: Ross Farmer looked like a very handsome fellow. He had one of those terrific flattops that was a popular style those 1950 years.
  • Page 34: Duane Frederic, liked to call himself a member of the "Confederate Air Force", just to have fun; something he really liked to do his high school years. He has a big, full block of activities, many social things. Margaret Funk was a girl who also had good sense of humor. It's too bad she no longer lives and can't be at the reunion.
  • Page 35: Mina Gormanos, a good-looking and popular "Greek" gal, is on the reunion committee.
  • Page 36: Judith Hankel was another student who did lots of things her high school years. She was a tennis star and champion, played all four years. She was a champion trophy winner in 1959.
  • Page 37: Barbara Hegman, the very popular good-looker, and very busy student is the first photo on this page. She was a cheerleader. Her school activities kept her busy and popular.
  • Page 38: Michael Del Jones was involved in many student government type things. He was the opponent of mine in our campaign to be ASB president. I am lucky I won the election, since he was a very popular fellow. He was known to be a golf team member all four years.
  • Page 39: Edna Kautzman, a popular and very active gal, married a guy who was the same, Fred Zerza. She was a member of many active groups. One of my best friends, Ken Kelling, who's well-dressed and good looking was active in running teams and many other things. I still am a regular emailer with him, who's still one of my best friends. Carlene King looks like an actress, beautiful hairdo, smile, and face. She, too,was a well-know active student, the long list of things will prove just what things she did, like all those lists do, an important part of this section, most important to report what we all did and of course, how we all looked as high school seniors.
